That means that 1 out of 5 cars in Europe are fitted with a turbo that was made in Almere. For automotive to be able to contribute to global climate objectives, downsizing (a smaller engine with greater power, possibly hybrid) is necessary. Using a turbocharger is the best way to make this technically possible.
As our parent company is located in Japan, we work in close collaboration with a culture known for its hospitality. And this shows in everything. From our production line in Almere, we deliver directly to our OEM’s all over the world. All of our 800 employees make this possible. Proud and dedicated, that’s what we are.
The department Turbo Engineering is responsible for the project development of the Turbocharger itself and validating /testing the turbocharger before it proceeds to being produced in series. From MTEE we supply all regions of Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Within this department the responsibilities are divided between application engineers, design engineers, project engineers and test engineers.
On the basis of client specifications designs you will control the available global information and when necessary you will ask additional questions to our customer or design department for the design of a turbocharger. Besides making, reporting and the maintenance of prototypes, you are also actively involved in the series production phase. You will take care of the approval of the design by our mother company (MHI) and the approval of the designs you will mark with control points regarding the quality system.
